Using almost exclusively recycled or collected fabrics and notions, Marlis Kraft has joined a broader movement exploring Textiles as an expressive medium. Employing various surface design techniques, Marlis’ work as a textile collage artist has deepened and grown. You will see examples of eco-printing, rust dyeing, composting, image transfer, printing, beadwork, and mixed media. All of her pieces are hand-stitched as she enjoys the meditative quality of working by hand.
